“I started my first business in 1979. It was a courier company and it grew rapidly over 4 years until I sold out to my partner. During that time I wrote all the ads. I did not consider myself a copywriter. I was 23 years old, penniless (apart from a business loan from NatWest bank), and had very little idea about business.
From there I went on to establish a music recording studio, a couple of software companies, a media business, and finally the International Copywriters Association.
Writing has been my life as well as the one thread that has run consistently throughout every business I’ve started. It took me many decades before I realised it, but once I did, I understood the real value of words. My mission is to pass on the skills I’ve learnt to others seeking advancement in the copywriting industry as well as broadcast the message that every word matters to businesses far and wide.”
