What is conversion?

Conversion, in marketing, means a person (potential customer) completes a specific goal, like submitting their information or completing the payment.

At this point, that person moves a step further on their journey to becoming a customer, e.g., a visitor to a subscriber, lead, opportunity, customer, or an advocate.

Identifying key conversion metrics is critical in building a marketing plan, sales pipeline, or sales funnel.
